Join Rev. John Morehouse for a Deescalation Training in the McGinness Room. This training will equip participants with the skills and procedures needed to respond to a disruptive person, drawing on peacemaking practices used in Quaker settings. Participants will discuss the principles of deescalation and the procedure for implementing it, or escalating the response, as circumstances warrant. The session includes live simulations. This training is designed for ushers, greeters, teachers, staff, and any leader who may be called on to respond to disruptive people on Sundays or at other events.
